It's dumb - why not just say that it isn't working out, you don't feel about them the way you should, say that you will always care, but that you are not in love with them.

Sounds really stupid. If you wanna break up with someone, you better have a good reason, a polite tone, and possibly running shoes on.
That's really mean, just go up to her and say this isn't really working out (give a reason) i'm sorry but it would be better if we were just Friends. Tell her something like that
